The distinctive Protein Digestion Monitoring (ProDM) kit from ITSI-Biosciences, LLC allows simple and precise monitoring of tryptic digestion using any spectrophotometer, prior to mass spectrometry. The kit contains protein standard, ready-to-use buffer and proprietary detection reagent and allows verification of enzyme activity (e.g. trypsin) and determination of percent protein digested simultaneously. ProDM eliminates the need to perform activity assays and gel electrophoresis. ProDM will increase the success rate of protein identification and mapping by mass spectrometry and lower proteomics cost by reducing the number of failed mass spectrometry runs due to inactive enzyme and/or inadequate protein digestion. |
