I do a lot of clonings in my lab as a part of making gene knockouts in bacteria. In this process, I have to make a lot of plasmid preps and this time-saving kit has been useful in accomplishing this task and making my life easy in less than half an hour.
Plasmid DNA isolation
50 ml overnight grown bacterial culture harboring your plasmid of interest.
Make sure your overnight grown culture has grown to saturation for substantial yields.
I have constructed many E. coli plasmids and shuttle vectors using this kit and have used the purified plasmids to make cell wall hydrolases knockouts in bacteria and characterize them further.
