Company:

Thermo Fisher Scientific (Invitrogen)

Product Name:

Dynabeads™ Protein A Immunoprecipitation Kit

Catalog Number:

10006D

I used these for coIP. The technique is common, but there is not a lot of information in troubleshooting - and there is a lot of troubleshooting. These are good for what they are. But what is more important in coIP is the specificity of the antibody that you conjugate to these beads.

Cell lysates

Tips

So much trouble shooting.

Results Summary

I tried to use these for about 4 months before I gave up and tried his-tag or ha-tag specific beads. Then I used them for untranfectable cells and it worked the first time. Overall, plan for months of troubleshooting and you won't be disappointed.
