Description
Image scanning microscopy using the NSPARC detector on a Nikon AX / AX R confocal microscope system provides the best of both worlds – a straightforward super-resolution option with single-photon level sensitivity.
Experience improved sensitivity and resolution while collecting light with similar efficiency as a standard ~1 Airy Unit confocal pinhole. High sensitivity with a very low noise profile allows the NSPARC to be combined with fast resonant scanning on the AX R confocal for live cell super-resolution imaging with lower photon dose.
As NSPARC realizes super-resolution on a confocal microscope, users can expect higher level optical sectioning and depth performance compared to widefield super-resolution techniques, including those also based on the concept of structured illumination. For even deeper imaging, NSPARC is now available for the Nikon AX R MP multiphoton system, combining the enhanced penetration depth of multiphoton with the high sensitivity and enhanced resolution of NSPARC into one system.
